Hi, my name’s Clare and I’m a professionally qualified Counsellor and Coach.
I decided to become a Counsellor and Coach after experiencing the life-changing benefits of counselling and coaching for myself. For me, it wasn’t enough to explore my problems with a Counsellor or plan for the future with a Coach. This either-or approach just didn’t work for me. I needed a space where I could do both. And, it turns out, so do many other people. This is how the idea for Life on Your Terms Counselling and Coaching was born.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching. I’m a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association of Integrative Coach-Therapist Professionals (AICTP).
I’m an Anxiety UK Approved Therapist, providing therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. I also work as a Counsellor for a Carers organisation, as well as supporting university students with mental health issues.
I’ve worked in the counselling and coaching arena for many years. Prior to setting up my own practice, I managed counselling charities. And I’ve provided work-based coaching within organisations across a variety of sectors.
I’ve also worked as a Counsellor in a voluntary capacity, including helping parents to cope with the multiple challenges of parenting. I previously worked as a Diplomat in the British Foreign Office for a number of years.
